Celebrating One Month of Being There

Last month I moved into Treasure at Tampines in Singapore, and to celebrate a month of being here, my friends are taking me out to dinner. I didn’t really think that something like this would be worth celebrating, but I guess everyone wants something to celebrate, so I went along with it. They were taking me out to a nice dinner at one of the great restaurants in the area, so I wasn’t going to complain and pass up on the chance to have a free meal. I rarely ever turn down a free meal, unless it’s at a place that I hate.

My friends ordered a bottle of wine for the occasion at the restaurant. I’m not that much of a drinker, but I’ll do it when a special occasion arises. I think my friends wanted to see how much I could drink before I would pass out, but I knew that I had to temper myself, especially because I didn’t drink that often. They drink a lot more than I do, so they have a bit of a higher tolerance for alcohol. I’m fine with not having that high of a tolerance, because it means that when I do drink, I can experience that buzz that comes with not being used to it all over again. In order for my friends to get that same feeling, they have to drink a lot more.

We had a fun night and ate a lot of food and drank lots of wine. I was stil able to keep myself from drinking too much. It’s a good thing that none of us had to drive to get back to the condo, because we would have been in serious trouble. When I got back to my condo, I sat on the could and laid down for a while because I was too tired to do anything else.
